For everything that was written in the past
was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the
encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4)
Beloved, the main purpose of the written Word of God is build our hope, so let us meditate on it day and night.
- But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9-10)
- We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. (Hebrews 6:19)
- The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. (Psalm 147:11)
- God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. (Hebrews 6:10)
May the God
of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that
you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans
15:13)
