Overcomers Overcome

“For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”(1 John 5:4)

Overcome- Succeed in dealing with (a problem or difficulty). prevail

At times we may have to deal with a problem that we think we will never be able to prevail against but we have a built-in mechanism in us to overcome any adversity we face. God has made us overcomers therefore we should walk in the victory that Christ has paid for.

To be overcomers does not mean we attain accomplishments, recognition, popularity, acceptance or prestige in the world or in a church. To be overcomers, we must to hear the Word, obey it and endure to the end, despite suffering, shame, rejection and disappointments.

"They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death." (Rev 12:11).

Beloved, through Christ we are overcomers, so let us persevere regardless of the predicaments we face. Jesus promised us:-“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. “John 16:33

Face the Fact

“Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old and that Sarah's womb was also dead.”(Rom 4:19)

Face the Fact- to confront and accept the consequences of something or someone
Abraham was willing to face his helplessness. He faced two inevitable facts his body was dead and Sarah's womb was dead. They were closer to the grave than to the marital bed.

Faith also faced the fact that God is faithfulness to keeps His promises.  God promised him that he would be the father of many nations.

Facing facts does not take away from our faith; it actually free us to recognize our helplessness and put our in the ability of the Lord.
Abraham faced the facts but believed the TRUTH.
Beloved, let us face the fact that without God we are helpless and trust in His Faithfulness.

“Being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised this is why it was credited to him as righteousness.”(Rom 4:21-22)

Deal With The Issue

“And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any”(Luke 8:43)

Issue-a vital or unsettled matter

The woman with the issue of blood was always trying to find to solve her issue she spent money went to doctors. This shows us that she was willing to confront her issue and find a way for it to dry up. After 12 years of dealing with the same issue the woman found that touching Jesus was the solution.

Beloved, we can’t avoid or skirt around the issue; the only way for issues to be dried up is to decide to confront it and deal with it.

God Will Deliver

“If our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.” (Daniel 3: 17-18)

We may pass through fiery trials but like the 3 Hebrew boys we must know that God is with us to deliver us. We don’t have to bow to storms or trials we can face them head on; because we trust in the Lord who has the ability deliver us.

“The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will take me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Glory belongs to Him forever and ever! Amen.” (2 Tim 4:18)

Beloved, our God is faithful He will deliver us from evil, and will bring us out victorious from our trials.

“He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us again. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us. “(2 Cor 1:10)

God Will Remember

“And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.” (Genesis 30:22)

Rachael was in anguish because she was barren she thought things would not work out in her life and she would always be unproductive; but Lord remembered her and opened her womb, so she became fruitful and productive.

But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.”  ”Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” (Isaiah 49:14-16)
Zion felt forgotten or forsaken by God, but the Lord sent a gentle reminder to demonstrate to Zion He is mindful of her.

Beloved, from time to time we may feel barren, unproductive, blocked, empty and useless. Be assured that God remembers us even when it takes a long time. Know that God is mindful of us, God remembers and He will open the womb and cause us to be fruitful.

He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations. (Psalms 105:8)
