Water is very important in our life we can not live without water. However I will focus on the ability of the Word to wash us.
After a long tiresome day, a simply shower will re-energize,rejuvenate, and restore our energy; as we watch the dirt and grime going down the drain. Likewise the word of God washes us and rejuvenate. Whenever the grime of the cares of life attaches itself to our spirit we can simply meditate on the word of God and allow it to wash our spirit and mind. Beloved, the word of God is not like water; it is water that is able to wash and refresh our soul. Allow the water of the Word to flow in our life; it will cause us to be refreshed and restored.

God compares His Word to fire. Fire is a very multifaceted element fire can help and it can destroy
The same fire that can warm our homes, can burn it down; the fire that cooks your meals can burn you up.
Likewise the Word of God that brings salvation, healing comfort, also brings chastisement and rebuke.
Fire provides light, heat, and is a great purifier of gold and silver.
The fire of the Word provides light, so we can allow the Word of God to lead and guide us. The fire of the Word provides heat, so in the cold days the Word warms the heart with cheerfulness comfort and calmness. Heat also means passion we cannot experience an intimate and passionate relationship with God without the fire of the Word. The fire of the Word removes all that is false and leaves the genuine. Gold and silver must be purified and refined in the fire so all impurities can be removed. God is after the gold and silver in us, so we can shine forth; therefore we must allow the fire of the Word to burn in our hearts. May our passion for the Word of God be ignited today!

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face..."1 Cor 13:12 (NIV)
The Word of God is compared to a mirror on many occasions in the Bible.
A mirror is generally used for personal grooming, examining and admiring ourselves because it reflects what it sees.
We look in a mirror everyday, we have them placed in different sections of our home, we have traveling mirrors; because we love looking at ourselves. Whenever we look in the mirror and see something out-of-place, we make the necessary adjustments to make ourselves look good. Likewise, we must value the Word and be constantly looking in the mirror of the Word of God to examine ourselves.
The Word of God reflects the mind and will of God, so we as believers use it to examine ourselves and allow it to transform our hearts and minds. James 1:22 admonishes us to be doers of the word and not just hearers. When we hear God’s Word and put it to use, then power is released and transformation takes place in our lives.
The Word of God is like a mirror, but this mirror not only shows us what we are, but it also shows us what we can become.
Beloved, embrace the word and practice to walk in it, then you will experience transformation in your life.

God compares His word to a hammer, therefore, let us look on the uses of a hammer so we can get a clearer understanding.
A hammer is a tool meant to deliver an impact to an object. The most common uses are for driving nails, fitting parts, forging metal and breaking up things into pieces.
To be effective the hammer must be in a strong hand that knows how to drive home nails, to tighten and fasten them also and breaks things in pieces.
So the Word of God in the hand the Holy Spirit will drive home and fasten the nails of peace, joy, love, faith, and hope.It will also drive home and fasten the promises of God in our lives. The word of God, like a hammer can impact our lives and cause us to be transformed. The word breaks up the rocky mountain that seek to stand in our way. God is the great One who hold the hammer to our lives; will fit and mend the parts of our lives and makes us stable, secure, and unmovable in Him .

"Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart..." Jeremiah 15:16 (NKJV)
In times of persecution and uncertainty Jeremiah went to search the word of God and found what he needed. Jeremiah then ate the word, which means he mediated on it. Therefore, joy and rejoicing exploded in his heart. This explosion destroyed fear, bitterness, frustration, and every evil seed that was trying to take root in his heart. Beloved, whenever fear, hopelessness, unforgiveness, giving up, or any negative seed creeps into your heart or mind; know that you don't have to let it fester and sink into the pit of despair. The quick and powerful word of God will bring joy and rejoicing to your heart.
Matthew 7:7 says "..seek and you shall find." Beloved, seek the Word today, you will find it and it will bring you joy and rejoicing.
"The joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

When something is settled it means that all arguments and disagreements are solved and a final decision has been made.
Friends the word of God is settled it will not change, it remains the same in every generation and it cannot be overturned.
The same word that opens blind eyes, raises the dead, heal and deliver yesterday can do it today and forever.
"The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand for ever" (Isaiah 40:8)
Jesus who is the same yesterday, today and forever promised us that "Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away" (Matthew 24:35) The word is unshakeable and unchangeable; therefore beloved you can have faith in the word of God and hold fast to His precious promises.
God's Word is forever settled, no ifs, ands, or buts about it!

"Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection." Proverbs 30:5 (NLT)
Beloved, the word of God has been proven to work. An appliance manufacturer cannot put untested equipment on the store shelves. It must be tested and proven that it works.
"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." Psalm 12:6 (KJV). As silver is tried, so the Word has been purified. All the kinks and flaws have been taken out. Therefore, just as you would confidently go to the shelf pick up an appliance and purchase it expecting it to work, so you can confidently and expectantly rest in the proven, flawless, and pure Word of God. Imagine, it was not tested once but seven times. The word has been proven that it is TRUE!
