Seek The Kingdom

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.“(Matt 6:33)

The “kingdom of God” is God’s active rule over His creation; to seek the kingdom of God is to receive the eternal life that Jesus Christ has brought.

When we seek the kingdom, we don’t have to worry about what to eat, drink, or wear because God rewards those who seek the Kingdom first. “All these things shall be added unto you “Do not be defined by the world’s definition of success, which causes people to desperately chase after things; Instead of the Kingdom of God.
Beloved, let us seek the kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Rom 14:17) Instead of seeking for things thinking they will bring us peace and joy.

Jesus declares that:-
·         “It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
·          “Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”(John 3:3)
·         “I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom”(Matt. 16:19)

“Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek ) for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Mat 6:31-33)

Seek The Lord Early

"O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You…" (Psalm 63:1)

Early - near the beginning of, first, beforehand, initially, ahead of time.

David sought the Lord early in the morning; he wanted to connect with the Lord before the day began. Not only did David seek the Lord early in the morning, but he sought the Lord early in his situation and circumstances. Before things get chaotic and out of control, David put the situation in the hands of the Lord.

After the woman with the issue of blood ran out of all her options she decided to seek Jesus for her healing. If she had sought him early when her issue began probably she would have been spared so many years of agony. Luke 8:43-48

“Seek the LORD and His strength, seek His face continually.”(1 Chron 16:11)
“But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.”(Deut 4:29)

Beloved, let us not let the Lord our last resort, but seek Him early and put Him first in every area of our lives.

Come

"Come now; let us reason together," Says the LORD.” (Isaiah 1:18)

Come -to move toward something,or someone, approach

There is an open invitation to approach God; He says “COME NOW”. In good times and troubled times let us move towards God, instead of running away from Him. If God had meant to destroy us, He would not have said, ‘Come, now, and let us reason together.’
We can always come to God and reason out every anxiety and fear. We can find peace and rest in His presence. Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”(Matt 11:28)

Beloved, let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb 4:16)

Come Forth

" He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth."(John 11:43)

Come Forth- onward or outward in place or space, forward, out.

Jesus commanded Lazarus to Come Forth out of his grave into life. Not only was Lazarus trapped in a cave but his cave had become his grave; he was tied up, locked in a cave with a stone securely rolled in the front, and everyone had given up on Lazarus.  Are the walls caving in on you? Do you feel stagnant? Are you tempted to give up? Well, have no fear because even in that hopeless place God has not left us or forsaken us;  He is calling us out of the cave of hopelessness, and stagnation into the abundant life Jesus has provided; Lazarus experienced the resurrection and life when he came forward.

I pray that we move forward, onward, out of every dead circumstance into abundant life; and come forth into life, health, joy, peace, wealth, riches, love, and His marvelous light.

Come Up

“After these things I saw, and behold, a door opened in heaven, and the first voice that I heard, a voice as of a trumpet speaking with me, one saying, Come up hither, and I will show thee the things which must come to pass hereafter.”(Rev 4: 1)

Even though John was in the Spirit, we would think that he was in a good place yet the Lord wanted Him to "Come Up Hither." Come up to a higher place of worship, commitment, clarity, perspective, and revelation of Jesus Christ

Beloved, there is always a higher place for us to attain; God wants us to move to a higher place. Do not settle for good but keep striving for excellence. God has given us an invitation to “Come Up” to where He is through Jesus Christ, who “Came Down “to us. Let us come into deeper intimacy with him the higher we get, the more intimate we can become.

Come Unto

“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. “(Matt 11:28-30)

Jesus knew that His people needed rest,so He gave us an invitation to rest in Him. Notice in the Invitation Jesus is calling us to Himself; not come unto the church, not come unto religion, not come unto anything or anyone else.
Jesus is not talking about physical rest, but He is talking about spiritual rest; the Rest of Salvation that only those who receive Him as their Savior can experience.
This rest calms the storms of life, quiets from mental torments and provides peace in troubled times

Beloved we cannot find true rest in anything or anyone other than Jesus, so let us” Cast our burdens on the LORD, and he will sustain us. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.”(Ps 55:22) "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”(Galatians 6:9)

Fear Not

“Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things."(Joel 2:21)
The command “Fear Not” is mentioned 365 times in the bible  that means we have victory over fear everyday
Every time fear enters our lives, it is the spirit Satan uses to try to keep us from trusting in the Lord. Fear brings torment and prevents us taking risks.

Beloved, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.(2 Tim 1:7)

What time I am afraid, I will trust in You" (Psalm 56:3). David had to make a decision to trust in God when ever fear seeks to bind him; he further declares that “The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear” (Ps 27:1) If our confidence is in the Lord we will be bold in the face of fear.

Beloved, let us stand on the Word of God and Fear Not:-

Joel 2:21 “Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things."
Zechariah 8:13 “fear not, but let your hands be strong."
Matthew 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
Luke 1:13 “But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John."
Luke 2:10 “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people."
Luke 5:10 "And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men."
Luke 8:50 “But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole."
Luke 12:7 “But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows."
Luke 12:32 “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."
John 12:15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt."
Acts 27:24 “Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee."
Revelation 1:17 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last."

Wrestle Not

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” (Ephesians 6:12)

Wrestle -to contend by grappling with and striving to trip or throw an opponent down or off balance

Even though our challenges are visible we should not be start a battle with visible our true battle is with the invisible. Flesh and blood battles are designed to throw us off balance people may try to grapple or stir up strife with us but we must be aware that they exist to keep us away from the true battle.

In (1Samuel 17:27-30) Eliab tried to distract David by belittling him “go to your few sheep”; however David turned away from Eliab and kept his eyes on the true battle. David would have wrestled with Eliab because it will only rob him of his momentum and sap his energy. Wrestling with Eliab would be unprofitable, but wrestling the giant brought David his reward. Flesh and blood is designed to distract us from the rewards and promises of God.

Beloved, wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. Our weapons are mighty through God for the pulling down of stronghold, for the slaying of giants and for our deliverance.

Believe Not

“Beloved, believe not every spirit...” (1 John 4:1-6)

Don't always believe everything you hear just because someone says it's a message from God; test it first to see if it really is; because many false spirits are in the world. Watch out for people who demean the bible and promote themselves and their opinion.

The True Spirit of God promotes Ephesians 4:12-17
“  His intention is for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,  but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

Any spirit that does not equip the saints, edify the body, brings unity of the Faith, and brings knowledge of the Son of God; is not of God.
“And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1 John 4:3)

Beloved, Jesus admonishes us to search the scriptures for in it is Eternal life (John 5:39) ; let us "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."(1 Th 5:21)

Fret Not

“Fret not yourself ...” (Psalms 37:1)

Fret - annoyed, irritated, uneasy, anxious, agitated, troubled and bothered.

Fretting is a decision. We decide whether we want to focus on things that will rob us of our spiritual momentum, or on things that brings us joy and peace.

Nothing good comes from fretting, it is like rocking back and forth in a wheelchair; it keeps us immobile. “Fret not thyself; it tendeth only to evil-doing" (Psalm 37:8). Fretting tends to make us doubt God and lean on our own understanding hence we begin to make plans without God.

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.”(Psalm 37:7)
We can rest, and wait patiently because our God is Faithful and Trustworthy. We don’t fret about the wicked sometimes we are too concerned about the wrong doings of others. Fretting deprives us of the peaceful rest that Jesus has given to us. It is Satan’s desire to annoy us in order to separate us from God and His promises.

Beloved, let us trust in the Lord, do good,  delight ourselves in the Lord, and  commit our ways to Him, and the Lord will bring His promises to pass.
