Believe Not

“Beloved, believe not every spirit...” (1 John 4:1-6)

Don't always believe everything you hear just because someone says it's a message from God; test it first to see if it really is; because many false spirits are in the world. Watch out for people who demean the bible and promote themselves and their opinion.

The True Spirit of God promotes Ephesians 4:12-17

“  His intention is for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,  but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”

Any spirit that does not equip the saints, edify the body, brings unity of the Faith, and brings knowledge of the Son of God; is not of God.

“And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1 John 4:3)

 Beloved, Jesus admonishes us to search the scriptures for in it is Eternal life (John 5:39) ; let us "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."(1 Th 5:21)
