“For whatsoever is
born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the
world, even our faith.”(1 John 5:4)
Overcome- Succeed in
dealing with (a problem or difficulty). prevail
At times we may have to deal with a problem that we think we
will never be able to prevail against but we have a built-in mechanism in us to
overcome any adversity we face. God has made us overcomers therefore we should
walk in the victory that Christ has paid for.
To be overcomers does not mean we attain accomplishments,
recognition, popularity, acceptance or prestige in the world or in a church. To
be overcomers, we must to hear the Word, obey it and endure to the end, despite
suffering, shame, rejection and disappointments.
"They overcame
him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not
love their lives so much as to shrink from death." (Rev 12:11).
Beloved, through Christ we are overcomers, so let us persevere
regardless of the predicaments we face. Jesus promised us:-“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but
be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. “John 16:33
