“I will lift up mine
eyes unto the hills…” (Psalm121:1)
Will-The mental faculty by which one
deliberately chooses or decides upon a course of action.
The psalmist decided that regardless of insurmountable circumstances
he faced, he would always keep looking to the Lord who not only made the hills
but also heaven and earth. Trials and storms are designed to keep us looking
down feeling hopeless and intimidated, but like the psalmist we must
deliberately choose to keep looking to the source of our help and strength.
Beloved, when we are in trouble let us not look around, look within, or look behind us;
instead let us LOOK UP, knowing that our help comes from the Lord.
